Meet at Place Roosevelt for the launch of illuminations which will cover the city of Ingres with sparkling and warm decorations. It is Friday November 29, 2024at 6:30 p.m., that the Christmas festivities will be launched in (Tarn-et-Garonne), approximately 1 hour from Toulouse.

New shows to kick off the festivities

On this occasion, a mapping unpublished will be unveiled on the facade of the cathedral and the public will be able to discover the Christmas crib installed on the square.

A magical wandering will then set off along the streets of the city center. Direction: the majestic setting of the Place Nationale to attend the unusual show of a dancer floating in the air with “The sky and the dancer”. This festive evening will continue on the Esplanade des Fontaines in the heart of the Christmas market, where everyone can enjoy themselves.

Christmas market and ice rink

New this year, the Christmas market and the ice rink open their doors on Thursday, November 29. At the heart of this market, around ten gourmet chalets will offer specialties to be tasted in a family atmosphere.

The “J’aime mon coeur de ville” merchants’ association also offers animations for this end of the year! Between strolling children's choir and mini « escape game »the program will be festive with beautiful decorations of downtown businesses.

Free parking for your purchases

To make the most of all the Christmas festivities and allow everyone to do their end-of-year shopping in the city center, the Griffoul, Consul-Dupuy and Roosevelt car parks are free on Saturdays, December 14 and 21, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. , and Sunday December 22, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A program of concerts and Christmas carols

In addition to the numerous activities offered by the City (parades, rides, markets, meeting Santa Claus in his chalet, screenings, workshops, etc.), concerts invite the public to have a good time:

  • The biker Santa concertSaturday December 14, at 8 p.m., Esplanade des Fontaines: after their round and a festive afternoon, the association of Baroudeurs solidaires sings a song!
  • THE Christmas choirsTuesday December 17, at 7 p.m., at the Conservatory, with several student choirs
  • Mamz'Elle Bee & The Toyz, Friday December 20, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Esplanade des Fontaines, explore a repertoire of Christmas carols on the market and wandering the streets of the city center
  • The Great Rio ChoirSaturday December 21 at 11:30 a.m., Place Roosevelt: rock, pop, reggae songs, but also funk and hip-hop.

Magic show and special effects around Christmas

Finally, as traditionally, the little Montalbanais are invited to celebrate Christmas at Eurythmie where, Wednesday December 11 at 2:30 p.m., they will be offered a snack and a show.

On the program this year: “Santa Claus has disappeared”, a touching story combining special effects and magic. Invitations can be collected at the reception of the Town Hall from December 2, upon presentation of the family record book and proof of address in Grand Montauban.
