Fast-food brands regularly announce their new products. McDonald's tried to win over its regulars with its Hot Ones and McExtrem' sauces, while KFC and Burger King launched, respectively, the Big Cheese BBQ on one side, and the Cheesey and Chicken Bacon Lover. However, now KFC and Burger King have decided to collaborate, following “the collaboration of the century”.
The “collaboration of the century” between Burger King and KFC
Generally, fast-food brands are more likely to interfere with each other rather than collaborate. We still remember the frenzied battles between McDonald's and Burger King on social networks, with many well-inspired tweets. But obviously, this end of the year is an opportunity to bury the hatchet for KFC and Burger King. In a press release, the two brands explain that they have become “the best friends in the world”, during a temporary collaboration.
Thus, from November 27 to December 16, in all their restaurants in France, Burger King and KFC are launching the “BFF Burger”. The recipe remains the same on both sides, with one exception: flame-grilled meat at Burger King, crispy chicken at KFC. Will make up the rest of the recipe: a soft bun, salad, tomatoes, a double portion of onions (fried and onion rings) and a white BBQ sauce designed for the occasion.
To tease this collaboration, the two brands tickled the habits of their customers. Thus, KFC buckets and placemats, as if by magic, ended up at BK, when BK burger cups and wrappers ended up at KFC. If you have visited one of the two old ones in recent days, it is therefore possible that you have witnessed an oddity of this kind. Starting tomorrow, the two burgers will be launched in their respective brands. The opportunity for the most curious to test the recipe before, we hope, sharing their feelings on social networks.
For our part, we're crossing our fingers that the taste is good. Once the collaboration is over, we imagine that the festivities will resume between the two giants.
