Remember, on Halloween night… Ardennes soldiers intercepted a man dressed as Batman driving a Porsche on October 31. Flashed at 203 km/h in the company of his passenger Catwoman, he had already created astonishment within the gendarmerie.

But this weekend, another driver broke this record, as reported by our colleagues at The Ardennes. Indeed, this motorist was not disguised, but he was indeed flashed at 243 km/h on the A304 motorway, towards Charleville-Mézières.

An offense which is the subject of a Facebook post from the gendarmerie

It was at the wheel of a powerful BMW that the man was arrested on this road limited to 130 km/h. On their Facebook page, the Ardennes gendarmes specified that during his arrest, the driver defended himself by saying that he simply wanted to test the power of his vehicle. We also learned that following this offense, his car was towed on a flatbed, towards the pound.

As for his driving license, it was immediately withdrawn, before being subject to a six-month administrative suspension. The man will have to answer for his actions before the Charleville-Mézières judicial court in the coming weeks.
