The 5 Continents Jazz Festival has started and continues until July 13 in and around Marseille. Also discover an unmissable moment of summer: the Off d’Avignon festival awaits you with more than 1,600 shows. And the Museum of Ardèche invites you to learn about archaeological excavations throughout this summer.

This week and the following ones offer beautiful voices to discover or rediscover, such as Keziah Jones and Gregory Porter. Hughes Kieffer, director of the Jazz des 5 Continents festival, is particularly proud to welcome Cat Power on July 10.His career, his way of approaching life and his artistic message correspond perfectly to the spirit that we want to transmit through the Festival.“, he confides. During this same evening, Meshell Ndegeocello, bassist and artist involved in music and society, will also be present. “Two musical figures who are both complementary and quite similar in the commitment they have to their music,” adds Hugh Kieffer.
In addition to headliners, the festival offers free events, such as a concert on the beach in Istres on July 28.

In Vaucluse, the Avignon Off Festival takes place from July 3 to 21. In the old town, within the walls, or “outside the walls», this festival will amaze you, make you laugh, move you with its more than 1300 companies, 1600 shows and 530 creations in 140 theaters.

Finally, if you are going to spend a vacation in Ardèche this summer, in Balazuc, the Ardèche Fossil and Dinosaur Museum offers fossil excavation and extraction workshops. You will learn more about archaeological techniques, but also about the history of our Earth. There are four sessions per day starting July 10. Remember to register.
