Ligue 1: A soap opera ends

If ASSE has known for several weeks that Olivier Dall’Oglio will continue in Ligue 1 on the Saint-Etienne bench, several clubs have changed coaches this summer.

It was long, but now it’s over. The great waltz of Ligue 1 coaches is coming to an end. Franck Haise opened the show by joining Nice, which was looking for a successor to Francesco Farioli who had left for Ajax. Will Still left Reims to head to Lens. Luka Elsner struggled, but has made a good start with Stade de Reims. Finally, it’s Didier Digard’s turn to leave the Nice staff to join Le Havre.

Coach for several weeks at OGC Nice, the former midfielder reunited with his former teammate, now Sports Director, Mathieu Bodmer. Both men will have a lot to do. The DNCG has just regulated the payroll of the senior club. Without having touched CVC, Le Havre lacks liquidity and will have to strengthen itself by being particularly astute. Big challenge for Didier Digard who is really going to take the plunge in Normandy.
