The death last night of Paul Balny, deputy mayor of Montdidier, plunges this town in the Somme into deep sadness, particularly its associative world, for which he was responsible. Several presidents and heads of associative structures salute the memory of the elected official who left us at the age of 71.
A special tribute will be paid to Paul Balny at the Telethon next Friday in Montdidier`
Fabien Lheureux, president of the Foulées du Santerre, confides for example on the page of this association: “CToday, we learn of the sad disappearance of our assistant for associations and sport in Montdidier, Paul Balny.
The entire association presents its sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
Paul fought for many years against cardiovascular diseases within his association “Heart and Health” advocating well-being through nutrition and physical activity for 15 years. We developed Nordic walking together in Montdidier within his club and then, indirectly, gave birth to our club “Les Foulées du Santerre”.
Mr. Balny, through his various mandates under Catherine Quignon, joins his comrades Jean Marié and Francis Canicio… a page which turns to Montdidier for us; the “young native Montdiderians” and for many people… but we are the next generation and will not forget anything…
A special tribute will be paid to Mr. Balny at the Telethon next Friday. The fight continues…
Paul…Thank you! »
