The National Rally candidate comes out on top by a wide margin in the Périgueux constituency. Nadine Lechon comes in far ahead of the outgoing MP Pascale Martin, and the Horizons candidate Clément Tonon. At the end of the first round of the legislative elections, three candidates are qualified, and the 1st constituency of the Dordogne is heading towards a three-way race.

Three candidates qualified for the second round

Nadine Lechon, a political novice but an activist from the very beginning, came in first with 38.24% of the vote. She was followed by the outgoing MP for Périgueux, Pascale Martin, a candidate for the Popular Front (29.42%). Next came Clément Tonon, a Horizons candidate supported by the presidential majority with 24.30% of the vote.

“We expected to achieve a good result. I want to thank the voters who trusted us and who believe in our program. President Macron did absolutely nothing. We listened to the people”rejoices Nadine Lechon.
