Every year, on July 14, sportsmen and women gather in Parçay-sur-Vienne at the Bernard-Touché stadium to set off on circuits in the surrounding countryside. The event will celebrate its 29the anniversary Sunday July 14, 2024, with many registrants who will discover a new format, the race changing to “trail”. This new circuit gains height, since the majority of the course is located on the hillsides, the green setting with a difference in altitude better corresponding to the expectations of the runners. The organization is modified with new positions for the many volunteers, since different roads will be cut.

A warmer runners’ village

Even at the stadium, changes will be made to make the runners’ village even more welcoming. For the inhabitants of the commune, it is an exceptional day where everyone plays their part, always in a festive and friendly atmosphere. A small race for children (1 km) and a hike (11 km) are also planned.

As for the runners of the Braquet parçayais association, the group continues to grow and participate in competitions in the surrounding area. About twenty runners from the town took part in the “Tiken-Trail” in Redon (Ille-et-Vilaine). The club welcomes anyone who wants to take part in training sessions in June and September, every Wednesday at 7 p.m., at the municipal stadium.
