A wild boar causes a collision between two cars at a Deux-Sèvres intersection: one injured

The impact of a wild boar a little after the Montplaisir crossroads in Champdeniers, near , led to a collision between two cars following each other in the direction of Niort, this Friday, November 22, 2024.

Friday November 22, around 8:40 p.m., a wild boar crossing the road caused an accident on the three lanes between Parthenay and Niort, shortly after the Montplaisir crossroads, commune of Champdeniers.

A Skoda vehicle traveling in the Montplaisir-Niort direction hit the wild boar. This vehicle was then hit by the vehicle following it, a Renault Mégane. In the Skoda were three people aged between 24 and 39 years old. The 24-year-old passenger was transported to Niort hospital for check-ups.

In the second vehicle, there were four people, aged 41 to 24, all unharmed.
