The team from the Saint-André-de-l'Eure (Eure) media library has put together a well-documented photographic exhibition on the Plaines et Vallées rally which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

We had to find archives relating to the rally since its beginnings. We even went further since we found documents on what was before-Plains and Valleys, that is to say auto-cross with testimonies from the precursors, which thus allows us to find names well known in our village.

Nadine Hesnart, president of Friends of the Library.

“All these people have entrusted us with photos, posters, trophies, documents, they are all delighted to see that we are honoring everything that has happened during these decades since the 70s.”

For athletes, but not only

The sporting epic is told on the walls of the media library with numerous explanatory panels and impressive iconography, the result of the intense research of a team which offers this work to as many people as possible. “We found it appropriate to hold this exhibition in the media library rather than in another room. This allows greater visibility. The exhibition is visible during opening hours. Sportsman or amateur, everyone will rediscover the highlights of this unmissable event in our region.”

The Plaines et Vallées exhibition is visible until November 29 during the opening hours of the Saint-André-de-l'Eure media library. Free entry.
