Saturday June 22, the 2nd edition of the mountain trail and semi-autonomy of Mont Fourcat was held over a distance of 26 km and an elevation gain of 1,600 m.

Even though the weather wasn’t really on our side, many runners came to take part in this 2nd edition of the ascent and descent of Mont Fourcat, a total of 26 km to cover.

The fairly technical route with “rolling” sections and some slightly steeper climbs suited most of the runners, but some more experienced in this type of event made the difference.

For a handful of seconds, victory eluded the villager Christophe Porta who finished the race in 2h30’28” just behind the first Jean Flory, who clocked 2h28’51”. The 3rd is Julian Bouche in 2h32’41”. 190 runners completed the race.

Among the women, Laurie Pagnac finished in first place in 2h48’48”, Emmanuelle Etchevarra, 2nd in 3h10’17” and in 3rd place Delphine Touzolli in 3h19’21”.

This year, there was a 10 km event on a different course, but also very interesting for this type of race. 1st Romain Barthes 0h 45’40”, 2nd Mattéo Vannier 0h48’32”, 3rd Luc Brazeilles 0h46’33”.

For the ladies, 1st Maena Vannier, 0h53’09”, 2nd Aurélie Garcia, 1h01’25”, 3rd Cynthia Salvetti, 1h02’31”. 147 runners completed this event. The “MontFourcatrail” association, organizer of this sports day, thanks all the runners who participated in this event, but also all the volunteers who have been involved for days, for the success of this event.

The appointment is made for a 3rd edition in 2025.
