Emerged from the ground a few months ago in the 18the arrondissement, Casa Franca is the first earth and wood dwelling in Paris. In a 100% eco-responsible approach, its layout is also guaranteed low consumption. Could this place pave the way for other projects of this type in the city center?

Whether you come for dinner or just for a coffee, at Casa Franca, please take off your shoes before entering. This place is a sensory house where it is important to be in contact with the materials. In particular, the wood and earth that make up this low ecological impact building that has just emerged from the ground – so to speak – in a cobbled alleyway in the 18the district, in place of a small dilapidated building. Its particularity: a facade made of raw earth, commonly called rammed earth. A first in the heart of the capital. And perhaps the start of a long series?

This development was carried out by brother and sister architects, Philibert and Emmanuelle Déchelette, in their thirties, both graduates of ENSA Paris Val de Seine.
