It was a day that marked the Monegasques. This Monday, July 1, Charlene of Monaco and Albert II celebrate their thirteenth wedding anniversary. For the occasion, the princely palace revealed a pretty photo of the couple and their two children.

Charlene of Monaco and Albert II were united on 1is July 2011 during a ceremony organized in the Throne Room of the Palace of Monaco. The next day, a religious ceremony took place in the main courtyard of the Prince’s Palace. This Monday 1is July, the couple celebrated their thirteen years of marriage. The opportunity for the princely palace to unveil a tender photo of Charlene of Monaco and Albert II. “Happy wedding anniversary to Their Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene”, was simply written as a caption. This photo was immortalized last March during the party organized for the sovereign’s 66th birthday.

In the photo, Prince Albert looks tenderly at his wife while he places his hand delicately on her back. Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are also in front of them. The little family waves to the crowd from the balcony and seem very happy. In recent months, Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert have been very close. They have attended many events together such as the Monte Carlo Festival where they appeared hand in hand. The couple also appeared very close during the presentation of the athletes chosen to represent Monaco at the Paris Olympic Games a month later.

Charlene of Monaco and Albert went through a difficult time

Today, everything seems to be going well, but it wasn’t always so obvious. Indeed, three years ago, the princess was stranded in South Africa due to health concerns: “This year will be the first time that I will not be with my husband for our anniversary in July, which is difficult and that saddens me. However, Albert and I had no choice but to follow the instructions of the medical team even if it is extremely difficult,” she revealed in 2021 in a press release. And continues: “My daily conversations with Albert and my children help me enormously to keep my spirits up, but I miss being with them.” Since then, she seems to have made up for lost time!
