These elections follow the dissolution of the National Assembly pronounced by the President of the Republic on the evening of the European elections of June 9. Loire-Atlantique has ten constituencies and a total of 63 candidates validated by the prefecture. Their number varies depending on the constituency. The rules for being elected

To be elected in the first round of voting, the candidate must obtain an absolute majority of the votes cast and a number of votes equal to a quarter of the registered voters. Throughout the department, polling stations will be open this Sunday, June 30 and Sunday, July 7, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. At the request of the municipalities, the prefect has set by decree the closing time for polling stations in Rezé, Couëron and Orvault at 7 p.m. and for polling stations in Nantes and Saint-Herblain at 8 p.m.
