The second round of the legislative elections in Étampes will take place this Sunday July 7, as throughout France. The result of the 2024 legislative elections will be communicated on this page from 8 p.m.

Here are the candidates on ballot, qualified for the second round of the 2024 legislative election in Étampes. This list is provisional and subject to change until the official publication of the applications by the Ministry of the Interior.

The result of the 2024 legislative elections in Étampes is now official. However, these figures do not represent the total number of votes at the constituency level: 67 other municipalities actually contributed to the result of the legislative elections in the 2nd constituency of Essonne.

How far can the RN go during the legislative elections in Étampes?

The RN did not convince in Étampes two years ago, during the Parliamentary elections, with 17.05% in the first round, against 35.74% for Mathieu Hillaire (Nupes), Étampes being an integral part of the 2nd constituency of Essonne . It will not do better in the second round, the party also seeing the New Popular Ecological and Social Union pair win the election.

Marine Le Pen was neither first nor second in Étampes in the first round of the 2022 presidential election two months earlier, collecting only 19.89% compared to 21.62% for Emmanuel Macron and 35.01% for Jean-Luc Mélenchon. In the second round, Emmanuel Macron won with 60.19% ahead of Marine Le Pen (39.81%).

But the result of the last elections on June 9 undoubtedly remains even more anchored in people’s minds. It is in fact the far-right list led by Jordan Bardella which dominated the 2024 European elections in Étampes, with 27.49% of valid ballots ahead of the list led by Manon Aubry with 23.09%, and the list of Raphaël Glucksmann with 9.98 %.

The elections follow one another and sometimes are not the same, but some conclusions are nevertheless necessary. Voting intention polls predict that Jordan Bardella’s party will receive between 30 and 35% of the votes in France this Sunday, June 30, or around fifteen points above its result in the last legislative elections. Theoretically, this trend should bring it to 32% in Étampes, also 15 points more than its score at the time in the city. But a municipality votes differently from France and we notice that the party has visibly recorded here only 3.77 points more between the 2019 European elections and the election of last June 9, for example. This should temper the most hasty forecasts.
