Sunday – Saint-Cloud Grand Prix: Who to beat the favorite?

Sevenna’s Knight (406)l’outsider de Michael Cardine :

Among the youngest in the race, the candidacy of Sevenna’s Knight looks attractive before the race. Lengthened with a certain brilliance, quite early in his career, he has progressed over the course of his outings. He has reached a milestone this winter, as evidenced by his two most recent races, both crowned with success. Of course, he will be shortened, but the Saint-Cloud track offers a very nice and long straight to finish. He will not be the favorite of the event but I think he is capable of reshuffling the cards.

Point Lonsdale (407)l’outsider de Katherine Ford :

Point Lonsdale is perhaps the best of the visitors still in contention. Highly rated by Aidan O’Brien, he has, since the age of two, competed in numerous Group 1s. Still present at the age of five, versatile. He is coming off an impressive win at Chester in May. He is dependent on a stable that proved its form last week at Royal Ascot and he will be looking to match his full brother Broome, winner of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in 2021.

Sevenna’s Knight (406)l’outsider de Marine Vieville :

And Iresin is the choice of the heart, I distrust Sevenna’s Knight. I really like the way he has evolved over time, in his performances and in his physique too. He is a horse that has a lot of speed. So, I don’t think that being shortened this Sunday will be a handicap. It is fit, practical and easy to handle. It is evolving in the right direction and has many assets to surprise the favorites.

Zarir (401)l’outsider de Thibault Marlin :

In a test that gives pride of place to the elders, Zarir can do well. “Only” third in La Coupe (Gr.3) at the beginning of June at Longchamp, he had previously taken second place at the finish of the Prix Ganay (Gr. 1), ahead of Feed The Flamewhich he will find again. For this competitor capable of doing well on all terrains, the extension of the distance this Sunday will serve his interests, him whose four successes have been acquired on distances of 2,400 meters and more. If there is pace, he can surprise his opponents.
