Members of the association of Friends of Abbot Jacques-Poupon (1920 – 1992) met at the archbishopric of Sens (at 72, rue du Général-Allix), for a ceremony in tribute to the man who was a actor and witness to Senonese life for nearly thirty years.

Ordained a priest in Sens in June 1946, Father Jacques-Poupon was appointed vicar at Sens Cathedral on August 2. He was also a municipal councilor in Sens, promoted to knight of the National Order of Merit in 1977.
