Anearly forty-two years at France Musique, including sixteen at the helmOpen jazzthe emblematic show of the genre, Alex Dutilh has decided to leave the airwaves. “The rhythm of the daily routine, which I did with pleasure and relish, became extremely absorbing,” explains the 74-year-old host. Instead, he plans to devote himself to everything he didn’t have time to do until now: organizing concerts, conferences and artistic direction of recordings. To turn the page smoothly, the station’s Mr. Jazz is offering two final live shows, which he calls Open heart (” open heart “). “I’m already looking forward to my programming, which will be made up of music that moves me.” But there is no question of him revealing more: “I can just tell you that there will be as many female musicians as there are male musicians… And that if it weren’t for Maria Schneider or Keith Jarrett, my listeners would be surprised! » The show will continue next season with host and musician Nicolas Pommaret. Member of the Jazz Academy, he produces the show Declectic Jazz since 2011 on Déclic Radio, in Ardèche. From the start of the school year, this meeting changes its schedule, going from 7 to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday, while Banzai, by Nathalie Piolé, advances to 6 p.m.
