The forecasts were good. While Météo France announced an episode of snow requiring a large part of France to be placed on orange alert this Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Paris and Île-de-France, it snowed continuously since mid-morning. If the flakes have difficulty adhering to the ground, the roofs begin to be covered with a thick white coat.

Mayhem on the road and in the air
During the night from Thursday to Friday, new snow showers will occur in the departments near the Channel, Météo France announces. Some of them will be able to reach the north of the Paris region. Temperatures will drop noticeably.
“Friday night and morning could be very cold with frequent frosts, sometimes severe. In this context of possibly still snowy ground, the risk of refreezing in the northern half is quite significant, potentially making the ground very slippery,” we can read in the forecast.
The snow should end tomorrow, Friday November 22, 2024. If Météo France has just extended the orange snow-ice vigilance it seems that the snow will not last. The meteorological institute announces “scattered showers during the morning” and some clearings at dusk.
In terms of temperatures, it will be 1°C at 7 a.m. and 3°C at 1 p.m.
News which will undoubtedly be welcomed with pleasure by the motorists for whom traffic is very difficult this Thursday, November 21, 2024. Same situation in the air where air traffic is also disrupted.
