This Friday, November 22, 2024, Paris and Île-de-France are once again placed on orange “snow-ice” vigilance. In fact, things are complicated because after the snow, the ice is likely to pose major difficulties for Parisian transport. The Transiliens, RER, bus lines but also tramways and school transport are impacted.
The snow that fell this Thursday in France and particularly in Paris and Île-de-France could turn into ice in areas where temperatures will be negative tonight. On the public transport side, we take stock of the situation and the lines affected by bad weather this Friday November 22.
We start with good news, no impact on the Paris metro side. This is not the case for the transiliens who see practically all the lines affected by snow and ice.
The affected lines on the Transiliens side:
Line H was also affected, but traffic is gradually returning to normal. SNCF also warns of the traffic situation on line P and line L where trees have fallen due to bad weather.
Concerning the RER, the line E is impacted between Haussmann Saint-Lazare and Tournan in both directions of traffic. THE RER A travels at reduced speed between Nanterre Préfecture, Boissy-Saint-Léger and Torcy. Disturbances also on the side of RER C where some switch systems were frozen by snow and cold.
On the Tram side, the T6 is disrupted following snowfall at Division Leclerc. Be careful with bus lines also in Île-de-France which could be suspended this Friday.
The Prefects of Yvelines and Essonne announced the interruption of school transport this Friday. Parents are invited to pick up their children from 3 p.m. In Seine-et-Marnenot only school transport, but also certain bus lines will not operate this Friday. For Roissy Est, lines 2101 to 2111 as well as 2122 are suspended. Bus 2120 is diverted and does not serve the Claye-Souilly cemetery stop. On the Brie and 2 Morin networks, many lines are also at a standstill, including lines 03A, 03B, 8A, 31, 31A, 32, 33, 38, 40, 41A, 41B, 42, 49, 59 and the bus P.
