Special guest of the last of At Jordan de Luxe This Friday, June 28, Pierre Arditi explained why he never had a child with his partner Evelyne Bouix.

This Friday, June 28, for the last show of the season, Jordan de Luxe hosted on its set an exceptional guest: Pierre Arditi. The 79-year-old actor looked back on his career, his childhood, but also on the ups and downs of his career, including the vagal malaise he suffered last September while he was performing on stage alongside Muriel Robin. In front of Jordan de Luxe, Pierre Arditi also made some confidences about his private life and in particular his relationship with Évelyne Bouix, his partner since 1986.

Pierre Arditi opens up about his relationship with Évelyne Bouix, his partner for 38 years

Asked about his relationship with Évelyne Bouix, Pierre Arditi mentioned the name his partner gives him in the private sphere. She almost never calls me Pierre. She calls me darling, boubou, gluglou… Whatever you want. When she calls me Pierre it’s because we’re angry“, he confided before revealing the very special name he gives to his wife: “Lino like Ventura, because it’s short for Évelyne. When I call her Évelyne, it’s because we’re angry.” While the two actors are in a relationship for 38 yearsPierre Arditi admitted that he was never a husband “jealous” : “It’s roughly equivalent but it doesn’t manifest itself in the same way. We’re not jealous (…) We can be hurt, we can be worried when by chance we feel that someone could take your place. It’s been 38 years and it hasn’t happened.”

Pierre Arditi “regret” of not having had a child with his partner Évelyne Bouix

Although he is the stepfather of Évelyne Bouix’s daughter, Salomé Lelouch who she had with Claude Lelouch, Pierre Arditi and his partner never had children together. The actor revealed the reason by explaining that his wife did not want a child with him at first: “When I came into her life, I was 40 years old. She was ten years younger. I wanted to have a child with her, straight away, very quickly. She told me: ‘No, no, no, I don’t want a child with an actor.’ She didn’t want to live with an actor. I said: ‘Good, very good.’ Et Ten years later, when I was 50, she said to me: ‘Listen, now we’re going to have a baby’, I said : ‘No, because now I’m too old. When this child is 25, I will be an old man. I cannot be my son’s grandfather.’ And I was wrong. I regret it because I would have loved to have another child.“, he acknowledged.
