On June 26, the city of Joliette vibrated to the rhythm of acrobatics and breathtaking performances with the launch of the Bastringue Circus Festival.

This event, which is being held outside the Desjardins Cultural Centre until June 30, attracted a large audience since its inauguration.

Crossing the Assomption River

One of the highlights of this opening was the spectacular crossing of the Assomption River by a circus artist. Balancing on wires stretched above the water, the artist demonstrated an impressive mastery of his art, captivating young and old alike.

Performances et spectacles

Throughout the event, visitors were treated to a variety of incredible performances. From gravity-defying acrobats to skilled jugglers, clowns and contortion acts, the festival offered a rich and diverse programme, promising moments of delight and wonder.
