Aurore Bergé (Together!) wins in Rambouillet and comes first in the 10th constituency of Yvelines

Without much surprise, candidate Aurore Bergé, deputy for the tenth constituency of Yvelines, re-elected since 2017 before entering the government a year ago, defies the national trend and takes first place on the podium.

The name of Aurore Bergé, although absent from the Patenôtre room on Sunday, June 30, 2024, resonated during the counting of votes in the three main offices of the sub-prefecture.

The outgoing MP has qualified for the second round of the legislative elections. By collecting 30.14% of the votes in Rambouillet, she is ahead of the seven other candidates running in the constituency.

Face-to-face or triangular?

Facing her, several options seem to be considered. Close behind in the constituency, five points behind the National Rally, with Thomas du Chalard, who scores 28.22%, a face-off could be played out at the polls next Sunday.

Behind, Cédric Briolais, LFI candidate nominated by the New Popular Front, also qualified, obtained 22.40% of the votes cast in the constituency. A third place on waivers which, according to national instructions, could cause him to leave the race. For the moment, the candidate did not wish to speak.

Disappointment on the side of Gaël Barbotin (LR), who nevertheless left confident, but who confirmed the national trend by collecting 11.08% of the votes cast in the municipality. “The voters are mature. Everyone will do their analysis and make their choice. I am no one to tell them who to vote.”

Results (constituency). 1) Aurore Bergé (Together for the majority), 33.59%; 2) Thomas du Chalard (National Rally), 28.22%; 3) Cédric Briolais (NFP), 22.40%. Registered: 92,480. Participation: 73.30%.
