(Stéphane Martin, June 28, 2024) – Barely a month after the closure of Fournitures de bureau Denis, the building at 72, rue du Roi has found a new purpose and new owners. Since June 21, Simon Ménard and Corina Bastiani have purchased the building from the former owner, Normand Fortin.

“We feel that this is a big deal for Mr. Fortin. He spent his life in this building as a worker and owner. He is approaching his 80th birthday. He did not hide his pride from us in knowing that we are people who operate the building and not investors who buy to resell. He still has downtown Sorel-Tracy at heart”mentions Simon Ménard.

The latter will soon set up his Photo Repensée business there as well as his photography studio. “It’s been around fifteen years since I founded my company Photo Repensée which has grown enormously throughout Quebec. I have always supported Corina in her interest in improving downtown. We couldn’t be more involved in helping to enhance the city center by bringing together all our services at the same address. There will be other projects to come, we will talk about them again at the appropriate time”adds the professional photographer and entrepreneur.

His partner, Corina Bastiani, is behind the creation of the Société de valorisation du centre-ville de Sorel-Tracy which was recently founded. “We are consistent with this approach and the fact that we live in the city center. Currently, we are making every effort to rent the building that we previously occupied while taking care of moving the equipment. With the acquisition of 72, rue du Roi, we are putting our shoulder to the wheel to meet missing needs in the city center. There are some great projects coming up”promised Madame Bastiani.

Let us recall that last August, the couple opened a workshop containing all the equipment necessary for photographic printing on different materials.
