FC Metz and Paris FC announced this Friday the definitive transfer of Sofiane Alakouch to the capital club where the Franco-Moroccan defender, originally from Nîmes, had been on loan since the beginning of last season. He signed a two-year contract.
Sofiane Alakouch and the garnet house is the story of a missed appointment. Arriving in Metz in July 2021 accompanied by great promises after a successful season under the colors of Nîmes, Sofiane Alakouch never managed to establish himself on the banks of the Moselle. In total, the 25-year-old right-back has only played 11 matches in garnet colors: 4 in Ligue 1, 5 in Ligue 2 and 2 in the Coupe de France (his only 2 starts).

Loaned to Lausanne (Switzerland) during the second part of the 2021-2022 season, he is the subject of a new loan in August 2023: the Moroccan international (4 caps) then joins Paris FC (Ligue 2) where he played regularly (12 matches including 11 starts; 1 goal, 1 assist) until the beginning of December. Victim of a rupture of the cruciate ligaments of a knee in the Coupe de France, Sofiane Alakouch sees his season end prematurely.
