This Wednesday, AJ Auxerre announced the extension of Elisha Owusu’s contract until 2027. The player trained at Olympique Lyonnais will have the opportunity to play against his former club in Ligue 1 next season.

Elisha Owusu is now tied to AJ Auxerre until June 2027. Good news, both for the footballer and for his team. Arrived from Ghent In January 2023, the Montreuil native quickly suffered a serious injury. This prevented him from wearing the Burgundy jersey for several months. Thus, the right-hander was unable to prevent his team from being relegated to the lower division. However, the Parisian was able to make up for it. Indeed, the defensive midfielder was one of the main architects of his team’s rise last season. Out of 38 Ligue 2 matches, the 26-year-old played 33. Most of them as a starter. Moreover, the Ghanaian international is currently the vice-captain of AJA.

During the 9th and 29th days of Ligue 1, theALSO Auxerre and theOlympic Lyon will be opposed. Special matches for Elisha Owusuwho was trained between the Rhône and the Saône. After playing at FC Bourgoin-Jallieuthe footballer was quickly spotted by recruiters from theOL. The current number 42 of theAJA therefore spent several years at the Rhone training center, before signing his first professional contract in 2017. However, to his greatest regret, the Franco-Ghanaian never played a single minute under the orders of Bruno Génesio. The Montreuillois was then loaned to Sochaux a year, before landing at Ghent in the summer of 2019 for one million euros.
