A man is wanted after hitting a municipal police car in Cannes on the night of Wednesday June 26 to Thursday June 27, 2024. The suspect managed to get out of his vehicle, flee on foot, climb a gate before disappearing. An investigation has been opened, indicates Le Figaro .
The suspect’s vehicle was reportedly spotted earlier in the night for dangerous driving, notes Nice morning The driver was allegedly the cause of a refusal to comply. He was therefore wanted in the area when he collided with the police car in which three officers were travelling.
A very violent accident
He apparently missed a turn and accidentally veered into the left lane where the police were traveling. The man was driving “very fast pace”according to a police source joined by Le Figaro. The front of both cars was completely destroyed.
One of the police officers was seriously injured in the face. Suffering from facial trauma, he was taken to hospital, as were his colleagues who suffered lighter injuries to the neck, arms and legs. As of early evening on Thursday, June 27, 2024, the reckless driver was still missing.
