Thanks to school catering

This Thursday, June 27, 2024, leaving their kitchen after service, the school catering agents were invited to the town hall by Mayor Joseph Segura, Brigitte Lizee-juan deputy for education, Thomas Berettoni first deputy, Jean-Michel Pignol, general director of services, and the youth education department team for an end-of-year photo and a time for friendly discussions.

The opportunity for the elected officials and the management of the City of Saint-Laurent-du-Var to warmly thank the 60 catering staff who work every day in the different kitchens to ensure a welcome and quality meals for our little Laurentins.

Let us recall that the teams prepare an average of 358,240 meals per year in traditional cooking and 61,346 meals per year in cold preparation, of which 50% are organic and “Label Rouge” products.

Meals intended for nursery and elementary school children, as well as teachers, supervisory staff and various municipal agents.

The menus are developed by a dietitian every month, in consultation with the chefs and kitchen assistants in compliance with current regulatory recommendations. They take into account several criteria: nutritional balance, variety, new food products, local and regional specialties, seasons, human resources, traditional festivals and certain themes.

A huge thank you to all the municipal kitchen teams in the town of Saint-Laurent-du-Var.
