The Cryobody store opened a few months ago in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir). It offers two complementary spaces : cryotherapy and hydrotherapy, a first in Eure-et-Loir.

The managers, Fouad Habibi and Karip Torun, friends for about fifteen yearsmatured the idea of opening a center together and ended up making their dream come true.

In banking and sport before entrepreneurship

Fouad comes from a banking background where he worked in an agency for sixteen years before turning to entrepreneurship with his real estate brokerage structure.

Karip for his part is a former player of the C’Chartres Handball where he was a professional for nine years. Alongside his sporting career, he studied to become physiotherapist masseur. Today he works in the office, the one where he was followed during his life as a player.

Treatments known to athletes

Drawing on their respective backgrounds, they developed the idea of offering treatments known to athletes in the department, but also to offer them to the general public. Karip was able to test during his sports career different recovery techniques after the matches and wanted to benefit as many people as possible.

In the cryotherapy cabin, we stand in a swimsuit, protecting our extremities. The session lasts 3 minutes and the temperature drops to minus 130 degrees, causing thermal shock. This technique can be used as a treatment, particularly for chronic disease problems or for well-being, with effects on sleep disorders and stress. A medical questionnaire is mandatory before the session. The process is natural, because it uses 100% nitrogen.

A bed of water at 35°C

In the second cabin, hydrotherapy is offered with a 35-degree water bed, massage jets, music, aromatherapy and light therapy.

She offers therapeutic massages using elliptical movements. “These sessions bring relaxation, well-being and comfort and last twenty minutes” say the managers.

Currently, rugby, basketball and karate clubs use the cabins for recovery, as well as the general public.

“We want to make these techniques known to the general public, it is open to all, there is follow-up adapted to everyone in contact with the doctors” adds Karip.
