Residents of the Hull area woke up to a very unpleasant surprise Thursday morning. A water main break occurred in the area. This causes several upheavals in the Mont-Bleu sector.

The water main break happened Thursday morning, on Cité-des-jeunes boulevard, near Mont-Bleu high school. This results in the closure of a lane.

Traffic is alternating between Boulevard Riel and Rue du Plein Air and there is a complete interruption of drinking water in the area.

The city of Gatineau mentions that 7,000 residents are affected by this breakdown in the Mont Bleu sector. Work is underway to restore the system.
