In the English Channel, three women from the same family will participate, from May 8 to 14, 2025, in the first edition of the Trek Rose Trip Cape Verde.
They are called Stéphanie and Amandine Jully (mother and daughter) and Patricia Suchodolski, their mother and grandmother.
Stéphanie, 49, lives in Créances, while Amandine, 21, lives in Sainteny and Patricia, 68, in Saint-Germain-sur-Ay.
A first experience in Morocco in 2023
In 2023, they had already participated in the 5e edition of Rose Trip Morocco. An event which unfortunately ended badly, with several hundred participants contaminated by bacteria.
A bad memory that the trio is determined to leave behind, especially since the Pink Tulips, named after their crew, had a nice journey arriving in 35e position, out of 76.
A 100% feminine and supportive trek
The Rose Trip Cape Verde is also a 100% female and supportive trek. “Each stage is an opportunity for participants to commit to one or more associations, particularly those working with women and children, such as Cap Eco Solidaire and Ruban rose,” explain the Manchoises.
The test takes place on seven days, through four orientation stages of around fifteen kilometers each. The crews only have three tools to find their way: a map, a topographical protractor and a compass.
A motivated trio
A method that the Pink Tulips already know, having experimented with it in Morocco.
Each of the candidates has their own motivations.
For young Amandine, sports enthusiast and who likes to take on challenges, “living this adventure as a family has an even stronger meaning for me”.
For Patricia, the eldest of the trio, retired for eight years, “It was my daughter who made me want to get started. And I love sporting activities, nature and human contact.” So many assets that will be useful during the trek.
For Stéphanie, on disability, walking, which allows her to continue to remain standing, is vital and she enjoys engage in the service of others.
A wellness fair on November 23
Participation in this trek has a cost: 12 000 €. So to help them finance it, in addition to sponsors, the Pink Tulips organize, via their association La Normandie au Desert, various events.
The next one is approaching. This is a well-being fair, which will take place on Saturday November 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Créances intergenerational room.
A twenty stands will be brought together (nail prosthetist, hypnotherapy, hairdresser, reflexologist, beautician, etc.) On site, clothes, jewelry and soaps will be on sale. The opportunity to have fun while helping the amazing female trio make their dream come true!
