A water main break in the area north of the Cégep, near Cité-des-Jeunes and Hautes-Plaines, disrupted traffic and the water supply Thursday morning.

A water main break at 600 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, in the Hull sector, disrupted traffic and the water supply Thursday morning in Gatineau.

The water main break occurred on Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, between Boulevard Riel and Rue du Plein-Air.

One lane is closed on Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes and traffic is alternating between Boulevard Riel and Rue du Plein-Air. Flaggers are on site, indicates the City in a press release.

Due to the water main break, a water interruption may be observed in the area. Some 7,000 people are affected. Affected residents will be informed if a preventive boil water notice is issued, specifies the Municipality.
