Change at the head of the Regional Association of Inter-Age Universities (Ariua). It brings together fifteen associations with slightly different names, – Interages University, of free time or intergenerational, but whose primary and concordant function is to promote and encourage access to culture open to all. It currently brings together structures from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Centre-Val de Loire, and Pays de Loire.

Recently, the board of directors met to elect a new office. And so it was Alice Renard, a member of the Niortais association, who was elected president to replace Michel Duc, himself from Niortais and who had previously held this position for three years. She joined the Niort board of directors in 2020, became assistant secretary and was in charge of the travel committee, and was also a member of the conference committee.

Lead the meeting of presidents

From the next school year, in November, she will lead the annual meeting of the presidents of these fifteen associations to discuss last season’s conferences which constitute their main cultural activity. She will also take charge of the spring meeting which allows these structures each year to pool the different areas of management.
