His departure from the Warriors now confirmed, Klay Thompson would be coveted by several franchises, including the Lakers of a LeBron James who is very enterprising towards him. However, he could well resist the advances of the King and go to another destination.
And to think that just a few days ago, some insiders were worried that he would flop following the opening of free agency. In the end, Klay Thompson currently appears to be one of the most sought-after free agents on the market. His name would have been surrounded by LeBron James, for example, who would even be ready to make a major sacrifice to allow the Lakers to welcome him this summer.
As a Los Angeles native, the star guard certainly has some ties to the City of Angels. That might have been enough for him to consider the Lakers as a possible landing spot.
