Come celebrate joy and beauty by discovering talented artists and share our passion for Corsica and music. For this fifth edition, which will take place from July 12 to 27, 2024, the Opus Corsica International Music Festival, under the artistic direction of concert pianist Laura Sibella and its president Xavier Torre, continues to democratize classical music in exceptional places , with virtuoso solo piano recitals, chamber music, lyrical concerts for several voices and various shows around the piano with literature and texts read by its author, polyphonies from Corsica and many other surprises for share and offer the public a new emotion and a different relationship to the works.

A rich program of virtuoso solo piano with Varduhi Yeritsyan and her butterflies, Jean-Baptiste Doulcet continues the festivities with the great repertoire and his improvisations of which he has the secret, Julien Brocal in a world of dreams and beauty or the discovery of a young virtuoso and child prodigy Lucie Le Balc’h. You will also be able to appreciate the most beautiful pieces of the comic opera ensembles and the French romantic repertoire with several voices with the Opale Quartet, celebrate the lyrical art with Éléonore Pancrazi and her guests, make singular journeys, from polyphonic singing to the great romantic pianists with Spartimu and Petru Casanova, from Japan to Corsica with the concerts of L’Odyssée des îles interpreted by the virtuoso pianist Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt and the Japanese artists Aiko Okamura on the violin and Risa Ando on the piano.

Inspired by German writer Jean Paul Friedrich Richter’s novel Flegeljahre, Butterflies, pianist Varduhi Yeritsyan offers an exploration of the virtuoso and profound works of Schumann, punctuated by pieces by Grieg and Massenet. Immerse yourself in a musical evening rich in emotions, where each note tells a captivating and mysterious story, fluttering like butterflies.

The most beautiful pieces for vocal quartet written by Fauré and his contemporaries. From one to four voices we will discover both sets of comic operas and pieces from the French romantic repertoire for several voices. A great diversity of pieces which allow the four singers accompanied by their pianist to transmit their passion for singing and their love of stage performance.

Ten years after the death of Brigitte Engerer, famous international concert artist, her daughter Léonore Queffélec and Selim Mazari, who was her student, make us rediscover this exceptional artist. Punctuated with readings, this concert transports us into a unique sound universe, from the vibrant romanticism of Schumann to the brilliant transcriptions of Liszt, including the magic of Tchaikovsky.

For too long traditional music and classical music have been opposed, this concert brings together a pianist and singers for a journey that goes from the polyphonic singing of Corsica to the great romantic pianists, via Italy and Georgia. A musical journey between Classical, Chjam’è rispondi, Cantu in paghjella, and some surprises and innovations.
