Mélanie Grellier, head of the Lynx RH recruitment firm and secretary of Cap Cadres in Lorient (Morbihan), invited the members of the association to the Lorient Océan job dating event. This meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the executive market in the Lorient region.
Everyone agrees that the executive market, although dense in certain professions, is restricted, and that it is sometimes far from the target in a system limited to the cloning of candidates.

These impressions were confirmed by some companies present at the Job dating, notably two recruitment managers from Capitaine Houat and Cité Marine: We recruit few executives. In general, they stay in their positions. We need more employees and supervisors. Moreover, we set up training courses with a permanent contract to attract and retain our audiences.

70% of executive positions are to be filled in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) or Brest (Finistère). 90% of current jobs will evolve in the next ten years with AI, hence the need for companies to adapt. For this reason, it is interesting for them to call on recruitment firms to redefine positions and look beyond technical skills to the candidate’s potential to evolve”,
