The visits to the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG) follow one another but are not the same. If some clubs like Olympique Lyonnais have slipped through the cracks, for others the ax has fallen.

AC Ajaccio and the Girondins de Bordeaux were heard this Thursday as part of the examination of the situation of the clubs for the 2024-2025 sporting season.

Ajaccio to appeal decision, Bordeaux seeks funding

And the news is not good, especially for the Corsican club which finished in 15th placee place in Ligue 2. The DNCG has pronounced the relegation of the ACA to National for next season.

“The club management will appeal this decision to provide the required documents and fully satisfy the DNCG in the coming dayshowever indicated Ajaccio in a press release published on its website. […] The managers remain confident for the club’s appeal and its reintegration into the Ligue 2 championship.”

For its part, Bordeaux (12e Ligue 2 this season) has been granted a stay of execution and must therefore quickly provide proof of its good financial management to avoid relegation to the lower tier.

“This additional time will allow FC Girondins de Bordeaux to finalize the ongoing negotiations with a view to the arrival of new financing necessary for the Club in the coming seasons”indicated the scapular club on its social networks.
