A woman was attacked by her dog this Tuesday June 25 in Lorient. According to the victim, the Malinois was always left free in the garden and had never shown signs of violence. The sixty-year-old who was able to push the dog away after the attack but has severe bites to the skull, face and arms. However, this version does not corroborate with the police facts. An investigation was opened for animal abuse by the Languidic gendarmerie. Indeed, the animal would have been locked in a cage in full sun under 35 degrees and it was when the woman opened the door that the dog allegedly jumped in her face. The victim was transported to Lorient hospital while the dog was reportedly euthanized.
