There was good humor this Thursday morning for the start of the 8th Jimmy Pelletier Walk which was held for the first time in Saint-Georges.

At the launch of the event, the organization donated an amount of $4,000 to the Association of Disabled People of La Chaudière (APHC).

« Thank you very much Jimmy, you are a role model and an inspiration. Thank you to the cyclists involved in this eighth edition, you will remember our landscapes and especially our beautiful coasts for a long time. », Mentioned with humor François Drouin, president of the APHC.

Thus, the 120 participating cyclists set off from the Saint-Georges polyvalente for 542 km to Matane. They will accompany Paralympic athlete Jimmy Pelletier until June 30 and will cross Montmagny, Rivière-du-Loup and Rimouski.

« The four values ​​of the Jimmy Pelletier Hiking are perseverance (…), mutual aid (…), surpassing oneself (…) and family spirit », Specified the Paralympic athlete.

The objective of this hike is, moreover, to raise funds for Adaptavie and the organizations it will meet in these cities, including the APHC.

The large RJP Adaptavie family celebrates the resilience of people living with functional limitations. In recognition of their determination, we are honored by the presence of the Association of Disabled People of La Chaudière. On this occasion, a donation will be given to the organization, by Jimmy Pelletier and Mario Légaré, general director of Adaptavie, to support the continuity of its essential services in the community.
