CThe program, which will take place from July 1 to 13, 2024 on the UM6P Campus in Rabat, is part of the actions carried out by Ai movement in its role as a continental hub to promote AI on the continent.

This program takes place in 4 phases. From online training to in-person project incubation and scaling up. Incubated projects will be able to benefit from fundraising at the end of the project.

While the first cohort (2022-2023) welcomed and trained 34 participants from 11 African countries, this second cohort is made up of 80 African women from 28 countries representing the five regions of Africa.

“This unique program has established itself as a major catalyst for technological innovation and inclusion in Africa thanks to a dynamic community of entrepreneurs, researchers, engineers and professionals united by their shared passion for technological innovation and AI. These women are committed to having a positive impact on their communities through their initiatives,” indicate the organizers.

AWITAI Summer Camp offers different modules, including data science, awareness of ethics and governance related to artificial intelligence, as well as modules on foresight applied to AI. AWITAI prepares beneficiaries to strengthen their skills needed to meet contemporary technological challenges in Africa.

The closing of the summer camp training program will be marked by a certificate award ceremony on Saturday, July 13, with the presence of official representatives of the partner institutions.
