The Manpower agency in Tarbes organized an “aeronautical” open day this Thursday, June 27.

The Manpower temp agency in Tarbes offered an open day, this Thursday, June 27, dedicated to the aeronautics sector to meet the recruitment needs of its clients and promote training offers.
The operation was organized in partnership with Daher, Daher Industrial Services, Potez, Greta, France Travail and UIMM. “We welcome both beginners, already trained professionals or people in retraining. We don’t look at the diploma but at the interpersonal skills, the motivation. It’s still good to be a little manual. This last year, we had a lot of people who retrained. In particular, we had people who worked in catering and who we placed, thanks to training, in aeronautics,” underlines Catherine Villegas, director of Manpower Tarbes.
The aeronautics sector is recruiting fitters, boilermakers and drapers in particular. The positions to be filled are 2×8, 3×8 and daytime.
“If I only had experienced candidates, we would have 50 positions to fill immediately. But there is a shortage of them, so we do a lot of training, in adjustment, machining, boilermaking, draping. In 2022 and 2023, we trained 146 people who were placed. And this, following requests from our clients – Daher, ex-AAA – because we are in shortage sectors. This is sustainable employment. Anyone who retrains in aeronautics will end their career on a permanent contract in these companies, that’s certain,” underlines Catherine Villegas.
