An adult and two minors were taken into custody. They are suspected of having stolen numerous vehicles in recent weeks in the Hautes-Alpes department.
The gendarmes attached to the Briançon company had been monitoring this team for several weeks. Three individuals, suspected of numerous thefts, were arrested this Tuesday, November 20 in Hautes-Alpes, BFM DICI learned.
These are two minors and one adult. The three suspects were taken into custody. They are suspected of vehicle theft.
“We are not facing an organized, structured gang. They are more people who steal for opportunity. They were capable of stealing a car and going to the sea for two days with it to change their daily life. In short, not big bandits”, contextualizes a source close to the file.
An immediate appearance set for Friday
The flights have taken place in recent weeks mainly between Embrun, Guillestre and Argentière-la-Bessée. The three individuals are also suspected of caravan thefts, thefts committed directly in vehicles.
“The two minors were summoned to appear before the juvenile court. [La garde à vue] of young adults has been extended. He is known to the courts, already for vehicle thefts when he was a minor, facts for which he has already been detained,” confirms Violaine Perrot, vice-prosecutor placed at the Grenoble Court of Appeal.
A presentation at the end of his police custody is planned ahead of an immediate appearance set for Friday.
