Specializing in the manufacture of adhesive labels, the Breton company Grand Ouest Etiquettes and the Vendée company Etik Ouest are joining forces. The first has 135 employees spread across three manufacturing sites (Lamballe -22, Henanbihen-22 and Saint-Jacques de la Lande-35) and achieves a turnover of 27 million euros. The second, located in Soulans in Vendée, employs around fifty employees for a turnover of 9 million euros.
Etik Ouest comes under the ownership of Grand Ouest Etiquettes, via the acquisition by the holding company of Delphine Rault, the CEO of the Breton SME. Founded in 1987 and taken over in 1992 by Christophe and Carole Traineau, Etik Ouest has seen its activity take off particularly since the health crisis. With 600 million labels printed in 2022, the company recorded an increase of almost 25% in its production over one year. Since its creation, the SME has worked regularly with more than 800 clients, mainly in industry, particularly forr the agri-food sector which represents 50% of its turnover. It also produces open-close adhesive labels for food packaging (Panzani, Bonne Maman, Saint-Michel, etc.) as well as labels connected via radio frequency wave identification (RFID) technology. In 2022, Etik Ouest recorded a turnover of 8.5 million last year and 9 million euros in 2023. Located in Soullans, its production site covers an area of 3,400 m².
Birth of a family group spread over 4 industrial sites
Grand Ouest Etiquettes, for its part, is a family business dating back to 1980. Its headquarters is in Lamballe in Côtes d'Armor where nearly 90 of the company's 135 employees work, which also has production sites in Hénanbihen and in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande (Ille-et-Vilaine). It designs and manufactures tailor-made adhesive labels and labeling systems (dispensing and printing machines) for professionals in the food, logistics, cosmetics and industrial sectors. Since 2009, the company has been managed by Delphine Rault. It ensures production of 2.5 billion labels per year for a 2023 turnover of 27 million euros. The takeover of Etik Ouest by Grand Ouest Etiquettes gives birth to a French family group spread over 4 industrial sites worth 36 million euros.
