Tanzania, Botswana and Mozambique validated their qualification this Tuesday, November 19, 2024, thus obtaining their place for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), which will take place in Morocco. These three teams won their ticket to the final phase, thus completing the list of 24 countries qualified for the continental tournament.
However, this qualification marks a notable disappointment for some big teams. Ghana and Guinea in fact failed to qualify, an elimination which plunged the two nations into a sporting crisis. Ghana, eliminated by Angola and Sudan, will not participate in the competition, a setback which comes in a context of internal turbulence. On the other hand, Gabon and the Comoros are coming back in force and will return to the continental scene.
