How many Argans are sick because they are unhappy? How much
of Angélique are constrained in their choices because women and girls? Already
in his time, Molière examined the violence of human relationships, faith
blind in medicine, greed, anxieties, big and small
pettiness. Since then, this visionary has inspired generations of artists.
Surrounded by a group of actors who throw themselves headlong into the big game
of life, Tigran Mekhitarian bounces with amusement on the springs
humorous elements of the piece and dares, with accuracy, to revisit the very essence of the
comedy-ballet: the baroque music is replaced here by rap. Devil
inspired, enjoyable and timeless.
