At Lacoste, a ready-to-wear store on rue de la Tonnellerie, the shop closed at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night so that everything could be ready Wednesday morning. “Private sales generally make the sales a little quieter now,” explains Fatima, the saleswoman. “People are a little less in a hurry than before.” They remain an important period, with figures to be made and stocks to be sold. We’ll see how it goes when they open, it’s generally a good indicator.”

Next door, at Jacadi, the saleswomen are also busy. “We check the labels, we refine the percentages of the spring/summer collection…” And to guarantee good traffic in the city center, what they were waiting for most was the return of the sun. “Good weather brings traffic and traffic will promote sales, so we remain rather optimistic,” they explain.
And to make this week festive, C’Chartres showcases are organizing two events: this Friday, June 28, 2024, the Time aperitif is coming to Lucé from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., in the town hall park, rue Jules-Ferry, for an exceptional evening.
Then, Sunday June 30, the second edition of the Time brunch will be organized in lower town rue de la Porte-Guillaume, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For the occasion, local merchants will offer different choices of sweet, savory and drinks around the “brunch” theme. Also on the program, musical entertainment throughout the brunch with the Iconic group.
