The young boy had been violently beaten the day before leaving his school, by a group of several hooded individuals.

“He could be our brother, our son, our comrade. Faced with this barbaric crime and violence, our society will not bend,” wrote the government spokesperson on X. “The perpetrators will be found and punished,” she continued.

The teenager, violently beaten, was operated on overnight at Necker hospital. He ultimately died from his injuries this Friday afternoon. The investigation is now open into “the counts of assassination and violence in meetings near a school”, indicates the public prosecutor, Grégoire Dulin, in a press release.
