Several years after the success of Unknown, Bernard Campan, like Pascal Légitimus and Didier Bourdon, leads his own boat. Fans of the comedian can also find him in the cinema since June 26, 2024 in the film The child who measured the world.

A film by Takis Candilis which the actor promoted a few days ago during his appearance on the YouTube show Paradox. The opportunity also to discuss his career, as well as his private life. In fact, the ex-member of the Unknowns took advantage of this interview to talk about the adoption of one of his sons.

Bernard Campan, father of an adopted boy

Indeed, Bernard Campan, in a relationship and married to Anne for more than 25 years, is the father of two girls, named Loan and Nina, but also of a little boy. A little boy adopted about 26 years ago in Vietnam, as he recalled during his interview.

“The moment I was most moved was the moment my wife and I adopted our child. We went, as they say, to look for him in Vietnam and that day was very powerful for Anne and for me. The meeting with this child who becomes our child”, he recalled at first.

Later, Bernard Campan clarified that his little boy was only four and a half months old and it was one of the “last family-to-family adoptions, which no longer exist”.

An adoption method that no longer exists today

“That is to say that we, as a family, went to see a family who could no longer keep their child, so it was also a struggle. When we go to an orphanage to take in a little orphan, we have the impression of saving him a little and there, it is necessarily also a tear for the family who can no longer keep this child but who would like to keep him in the ‘absolute “he revealed before ensuring that he managed to keep in touch with his son’s family.

If he is happy to have been able to offer a good life to his boy, he recognizes that the situation can be “overwhelming”: “because it’s a joy and at the same time a great heartbreak because you are aware of this situation on the other side too”. Bernard Campan was able to reunite with his son in Vietnam when his daughter Loan was 15 years old. This allows him to maintain ties with the family.
