© President Milan Afanassieff has big ambitions for his club
Inaugurated in 2023, the Saint Laurent Épinal Football Club is preparing to enter the championship for the 2024-2025 season. Founded by Milan Afanassieff, Jacem Ben Hassine, Augusta Retournard and Nicolas Afanassieff, this club, which is looking for players, promises to become a sporting pillar in the Saint Laurent district.
The club, currently in the launch phase with its senior team, plans to play its matches at the SOBA playing field in Épinal, subject to negotiations with the municipality. “We have slots for training, all we need is authorization for matches. The answer will arrive soon, we are confident,” declares Milan Afanassieff, president and coach of the club. To date, the team has 13 dedicated players and is actively looking to expand its ranks for the upcoming season in District 4. All players, regardless of level or age (18 to 35 years old), are warmly invited to join this sports family. “We want to create a club where the love of football and family spirit are at the heart of everything,” adds the manager. “It’s a long-term project, based on our common passion for football and our neighborhood, where we even plan to have youth and women’s teams.”In addition to recruiting players, the club is also looking for volunteers engaged in the Epinal region to support its activities. In addition, the team is looking for sponsors for the upcoming season to cover the costs necessary for the proper functioning of the club.
The Saint Laurent Épinal Football Club project was born from a deep desire to revitalize sporting interest in the neighborhood, initially inspired by a survey of residents. “Our objective is twofold: to offer an opportunity to play football to all those who wish to do so and to strengthen the sporting fabric of our community,” explains Milan Afanassieff. The Spinal entity is looking far ahead and aims to assert itself as a major force in departmental and even regional football in the years to come. With a strong team of leaders and growing community support, Club Football de Saint Laurent Épinal is committed to providing an enriching experience for all who join, whether on the pitch or as passionate supporters.
