SSigned by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and the President of the CESE, Ahmed Reda Chami, this convention aims to establish a framework for action between the two parties promoting the sharing of expertise , each in their field of expertise, for the achievement of objectives of common interest.

It fits with the royal vision for the promotion of the youth sector as a national priority and reflects the desire of both parties to strengthen openness to the different components of society, particularly young people, with a view to involving them and collecting their opinions on issues relating to economic, social and environmental development in Morocco.

This agreement is part of the ministry’s approach aimed at guaranteeing the transversality of policies aimed at young people, through the signing of a series of agreements for the development of programs responding to the aspirations of this category, affirmed Mr. Bensaid in a statement to the press.

He stressed that this partnership with the CESE will make it possible to set up training dedicated to young people in order to help them overcome the related issues. For his part, Mr. Chami emphasized the importance of this convention which reflects the institutional cooperation between the government and the Council and establishes the openness of the Council towards citizens, particularly young people.

The objective is to encourage young people to participate in citizenship by involving them in the process of preparing the Council’s reports, in particular through the organization of thematic meetings in Youth Centers across all regions of the Kingdom with a view to collect their opinions and proposals, he explained.

Under this agreement, interactive tools and mechanisms will be developed with a view to strengthening the citizen participation of young people to collect their opinions and proposals as part of the Council’s work.
